Getting to know us

The Stitched Oar is a business run by two sisters.

Tash, a dedicated rower, has been lucky to represent GB in both 2K and Beach Sprints at International competitions.  Spending most of her time on the water, she wanted comfortable, stylish casual wear for her downtime - something that wasn't standard rowing kit.  But after searching the market, she realised there was very little available that she'd actually want to wear.

That's where her sister Lizzie comes in - an exceptionally talented craftswoman with years of experience running her own business embroidering children's clothing.  With her skill,  creativity and professional embroidery equipment, Lizzie is the back bone of The Stitched Oar, transforming our ideas into high-quality, one of a kind pieces.

When you order from The Stitched Oar, you're not just buying a hoodie, you're getting the result of two sisters' combined vision and dedication. In the first few months,  we have created hoodies for people at the beginning of their rowing journey to Olympians.
